If you visit Latin America, then you never lose your girl, just your place in line.
When your girlfriend solicits for money over the phone, email or facebook, then we call these RFM (Requests for Money). They are typically delivered by Western Union or Moneygram.
Some girls are so good with their RFM’s that we call them Western Union Girls. When it gets more serious a man may leave behind a debit card, attached to a stateside account and then make deposits that can be withdrawn through ATM. These kind of regular payments come with the illusion that the girl is “off the market”.
Of course this is always a lie, and what it really means is that she may be out of the bar, night club or motel where she initially met the guy. Instead, she is working at another location or just relying on her little black book for private appointments.

Often when a guy becomes a captain they get angry with their friends who tell them the truth. They believe that guys are spreading lies in order to undermine the relationship, or steal her. Captains are also the most frequent reason why girls take down photos from Facebook, and guys get nasty messages to do the same. After all, once the captain is paying, he thinks that the girl is his property.

The best advice I can offer is to not become a captain. Just say no to the RFM when it comes, and if you think you have to make it up, then just spend better on your girl the next time you are vacation.
