Fans for the lovely Anneth, of Scores fame should stop by Theo’s Bar and Pension where she is working as the late shift bartender.
Theo’s Bar and Pension opened last year, around the corner from the Poas Bar on Avenue 7 and Calle 3.
Since taking over the former Malibu, the owner a Canadian expat has remodeled and installed a snow mobile as a kind of mascot for the bar.
Weekends tend to be popular with high volume Karaoke and dance music. However, mid-week the bar is a popular expat hang out and late night restaurant.
Some of the sparse talent on the block migrates into Theo’s Bar where rooms are available by the hour upstairs in the pension.

Police Raid Del Rey Hotel in San Jose, Costa Rica
Police on Friday night raided the popular Hotel Del Rey, in search of dangerous Nicaraguan women who may be working in Costa Rica as prostitutes. During the raid, immigration officers confiscated the passports of foreign women and issued them orders to appear at the immigration police station in La Uruca.
Every year there is a mass migration of Nicaraguans occurs as they go home for Christmas, and then return to Costa Rica in January. The phenomenon is part of the reason why the levels of talent tend to drop at Holiday Time in Costa Rica.
