Avoid the RFM and Don’t Become a Captain

If you visit Latin America, then you never lose your girl, just your place in line.

When your girlfriend solicits for money over the phone, email or facebook, then we call these RFM (Requests for Money). They are typically delivered by Western Union or Moneygram.

Some girls are so good with their RFM’s that we call them Western Union Girls. When it gets more serious a man may leave behind a debit card, attached to a stateside account and then make deposits that can be withdrawn through ATM. These kind of regular payments come with the illusion that the girl is “off the market”.

Of course this is always a lie, and what it really means is that she may be out of the bar, night club or motel where she initially met the guy. Instead, she is working at another location or just relying on her little black book for private appointments.

Often when a guy becomes a captain they get angry with their friends who tell them the truth. They believe that guys are spreading lies in order to undermine the relationship, or steal her. Captains are also the most frequent reason why girls take down photos from Facebook, and guys get nasty messages to do the same. After all, once the captain is paying, he thinks that the girl is his property.

The best advice I can offer is to not become a captain. Just say no to the RFM when it comes, and if you think you have to make it up, then just spend better on your girl the next time you are vacation.

ABC News Exposes Sex Tourism at Don Juan Resort in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic

ABC News reporter Linsey Davis, recently vacationed in Boca Chica in the Dominican Republic, and posted a video on Youtube of action on the beach. Staying at the Don Juan Resort, Linsey was able to negotiate girls for her cameraman who even paid a trip to a private club where a dozen girls live.

Linsey, however was less enthusiastic about the deal she made on GroupOn for a $173 Junior Suite. Apparently she got the same room as her cameraman was able to book for $146 a night. According to information on booking.com the hotel only has two room types and “Junior Suite” is not one of them. Since the news report, Group On has taken the Don Juan off its list of hotel deals, after refunding 20 guests who complained.

Prostitution at the Don Juan Resort, however is not limited to the beach. Lindsey caught the towel girl moonlighting to make some extra cash. Reports on Trip Advisor talk at length about guests who are approached by hotel staff, and not just the touts on the beach.

It’s important to point out that we are talking about the average. For example, in Medellin it’s common to find supermodel material working at the checkout counter or even sweeping the floors. Although girls in Argentina are among the hottest in the world, they just are a good deal more difficult to bed than the average Colombian girl.

Relatively speaking, Argentina is more expensive than Colombia. Perhaps this is the reason why the United States scored so low in the survey.
